There is no getting around it, living in or visiting Dubai is expensive, but there are a few ways to make your dirhams go further…
✨Let’s DXB – This free app provides a range of deals usually in the form of a set amount off your bill or brunch. It’s worth having on your phone so you can have a browse before deciding where to visit, as you might find a good deal.
✨The Entertainer – For a one-off payment you unlock 2 for 1 deals on restaurants and experiences across Dubai. It’s worth checking the app before purchasing to see if the places on there are ones you might want to visit, this will ensure you make your money back with savings on top. Savings can also be made on excursions or spa treatments.
✨Ladies Night – A few years ago there were many places you could go and not spend a penny just for being female 💁🏾♀️. Nowadays ladies nights consist of a fixed price for a set number of drinks and food. Check out Ladies Night Dubai to see what deals are on across the city every night of the week.
✨Happy hour – If you add a few alcoholic drinks to your dinner bill, you will have probably doubled your bill! There are so many good happy hours around the city (which admittedly only take drinks from extortionate to normally priced) and utilising them will help to stretch your budget.
✨Brunch – Ever wanted to try as many dishes and cocktails as possible on the menu in the middle of the afternoon? Then brunch is for you! For a set price many restaurants offer a brunch menu for 3-4 hours. It’s a great way to visit top restaurants for a fraction of the cost.
✨Business Lunch – If top restaurants such as Zuma, LPM, Clap or Amazonico are a little out of your price range you don’t have to miss out, visit on a business lunch. From Monday – Friday you’ll find some restaurants (particularly in the Dubai International Financial Centre) offer a set price menu for lunch, its the perfect way to dine at Dubai’s best restaurants without worrying about the bill.
✨UAE residents deals – If you are a UAE resident most hotels offer discounts although they are not always advertised, check the hotels website or give them a call to find out. Summer is an especially good time to look out for these offers.
✨Summer – In the peak of summer tourists are few and expats flee, but the deals come flooding in! Keep your eyes peeled for discounts or revised rates during the summer months.
